How to dress for your in-home newborn session
When it comes to dressing for your in-home newborn session, my first suggestion is working with the colours of your home. If your home is relatively neutral, you have more options with colour. Many of my clients tend to stick with neutral outfits to achieve timeless images. I offer a client closet with my packages to relieve the stress of finding something to wear. The light colours work well, as my in-home sessions are all captured with natural light. The overall images will appear brighter if you choose a softer palette. I also suggest wearing clothes that make you feel comfortable, especially for your children.
If you browse my gallery, you will find many of my dresses are flowy, textured & long. I like my clients to feel comfortable. I always suggest nude-coloured underwear with any outfit you do choose. You want to avoid anything distracting; this includes logos, loud prints or dark garments under your clothes.
