When is the best time to book your newborn session?
I always suggest booking your session when you reach the 2nd trimester. I book my newborn sessions a few months in advance as I only take a limited amount to ensure I can capture your newborn as soon as possible. A $150 deposit is required, with the total balance due one week before your due/guess date.
When will you schedule my newborn session?
I ask that my clients send me a quick text once bub has arrived & I will ensure I capture your newborn within the first 1-3 weeks. The first couple of weeks is the ideal time to capture sleepy images, but I also want you to feel up to it; if we need to push this time out, we can. Your health & well-being is the most important.
What will my newborn wear?
I offer a client wardrobe that includes a handful of heirloom pieces. I stick with neutrals & whites for a timeless look. I also have a range of beautifully textured blankets, throws etc. My client wardrobe also includes women's clothes & a small range of men's & children's wear.
Do you only offer in home sessions?
I am currently converting the shed on my property into a gorgeous natural light studio. I am located on the cusp of Woombye & am so excited for this to be available to you. I expect it to be ready by the end of July. I currently offer in home sessions & bring everything we need to you. I will continue to provide these when the studio is open. I want to offer as much as possible to my clients.
How to prepare my newborn on the morning of our session?
I advise having some awake time before our session if you are after sleepy photos. If you can feed your little one just before I arrive, this will help with settling. A warm environment, full belly, white noise & following baby is how I tend to encourage bub to fall asleep. Each session is unique, as is each baby. My sessions are baby led & I work with your little one to capture the best images for you.
Will my house work for a photoshoot?
I have not come across a home I couldn't photograph in. The first thing I look for is natural light; where in your house get's the most light? If you are unsure, check out your bedroom and lounge room at the time of day our session is planned. You can send me a quick text with a photo of your space. I bring throw rugs, pillows, and layers of blankets and can create beautiful images with very little.
Do you offer printing and products?
Yes, your online store will have a print store attached. You will find beautiful prints & heirloom artwork. I use an Australian supplier that creates beautiful products that last. I can also order for you, and talk you through your options. I will have display products available for you to see when the studio opens.
I am now booking June- December 2023. Studio sessions are available from August 2023. Please keep an eye out for a blog on the studio and all it has to offer.
